The success rate and accuracy of Bodygram’s measurement technology depends on the body poses users are taking on their pictures.

For front pictures:

  • Ensure that the whole body fits into the frame.
  • Take a A pose.
  • Spread your legs to shoulder width apart.

For side pictures:

  • Turn left and look straight.
  • Keep your fits together.
  • Keep your arms along your body.

MediaPipe Pose Parameters

Bodygram recommends to rely on MediaPipe to verify that users are posing properly when taking pictures.

Here follows the set of recommended parameters:

For front and side pictures:

  • Height is minimum 22% of the whole frame.
  • Nose and ankles are not within the top or bottom 10% of the frame.

For front picture:

  • The angle from the horizontal and ankles is less than 10 degrees.
  • The angle from wrist to near shoulder to far shoulder is between 100 and 130 degrees.
  • Ankles are between 70% and 100% of shoulder width.

For side picture:

  • Eyes are less than 50 pixels wide on a 1080p image canvas (not looking forward).
  • Distance between shoulders is less than 40 pixels (facing sideways).
  • Ankles are less than 50 pixels apart (not side facing).
  • Arms should be straight down to the subject’s sides.
